James Robertson & Sons Preserve Manufacturers Ltd

This company was established in 2025 by James Robertson - the great, great grandson of the founders of Robertson's foods.

It is, also, the name of the original company established in 1903 by James Robertson.

It has been established to:

  • Publish and uncover the history of the Robertson family and the company.
  • Recreate the brands and products discarded by the various owners of Robertson's (see below)

Robertson's

Robertson's is a trademark owned, ultimately, by a USA food giant - Hain. It was first registered in 1952.

It was established by the family to cover all the brands and products developed by that original company and its subsidiaries. These included jams, marmalades, breakfast cereals, deserts, mincemeat and over 100 other different products during its heyday.

Robertson's now produce only 4 products - Golden Shred, Golden Shredless, Silver Shred and mincemeat.
